When I arrived at MADRA in March 2019, I was in rough shape—my skin was in poor condition, I was underweight, and I felt scared and exhausted.

Fortunately, Jean and her family took me in and have cared for me ever since. I’m so lucky to have found such a loving home! After extensive tests, they discovered I’m allergic to tree and weed pollen, as well as dust mites. To manage my skin condition, I need regular baths with medicated shampoo, a special diet, and ongoing medication.

Sometimes, when my skin flares up, it becomes very painful, and my family has to handle me with gloves. I also have to wear a cone to prevent scratching. Despite these challenges, my family is incredibly loving and works hard to keep me comfortable. The cost of my medications is high, so any support you can provide makes a big difference.

Even with these difficulties, I’m a happy girl! I love going to the beach, playing with my toy pig, and spending time with other dogs. My mom says, “Holly’s been through a lot, but she’s a real fighter and so brave. She loves playing rough and is a total daddy’s girl.”

Life is much better now, and I’m deeply grateful for all the love and care I’ve received!
