Join us for MADRA Dog Day 2026
Get ready to meet the MADRA team and our incredible “blue army” of volunteers as we take to the streets of Galway for MADRA Dog Day on Saturday, 25th July 2026.
This vital annual fundraising day helps support our ongoing work rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming abandoned, neglected, and unwanted dogs across the west of Ireland.
We’re calling on our amazing supporters to help in any way they can. Whether it’s dropping a few coins into a collection bucket, making an electronic donation, or donating online, every euro makes a real difference to the dogs in our care.
For more than 20 years, MADRA has rescued over 10,000 dogs (and a few cats along the way!). With more animals needing our help than ever before and annual running costs approaching €700,000, community support is essential to ensuring we can continue providing care to the dogs that need us.
“As the demand for our services continues to grow, community support is more important than ever,” says MADRA Co-Founder and CEO Marina Fiddler. “Events like MADRA Dog Day help us continue the work we do every single day for dogs in need, while also giving us the opportunity to promote responsible pet ownership in a positive and engaging way. We are hugely grateful to every volunteer, supporter, business, and partner helping to make this event possible.”
MADRA Dog Day is about more than fundraising. It’s an opportunity to meet our volunteers, connect with fellow dog lovers, raise awareness about responsible pet ownership, and show what can be achieved when a community comes together for a great cause.
How You Can Help
Donate in person: Look out for MADRA volunteers throughout Galway city center. We can accept both cash and electronic donations.
Donate online: Can’t make it into the city? You can still support our work by making a donation online.
Get your business involved: If your business would like to help us extend our reach on Saturday, 25th July, we’d love to hear from you. We can supply collection buckets and/or QR codes so your customers and staff can support MADRA throughout the day.
Every donation, no matter the size, helps give dogs in need a second chance at life.
Thank you for being part of the MADRA family.
