Recipe:

  • 240g (2 cups) plain, wholemeal, or wholewheat flour
  • 90g (1 cup) oats
  • 2–3 tablespoons 100% peanut butter (no added sugar or xylitol)
  • Up to 285ml (½ pint) hot water

Mix flour, oats and peanut butter as you would pastry. Slowly add hot water until you have a dough. Roll into walnut-sized balls, place on a lined tray and flatten.
Bake at 180°C for 10 minutes, flip, bake 10 more. Turn off the oven and leave the biscuits inside until it cools.
They’ll keep in the fridge for a week, or freeze for a crunchier treat. For older or anxious dogs, try adding a little chamomile tea to the water.
