2025 marks a major milestone for MADRA —20 years of rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming abandoned and unwanted dogs. Since 2005, MADRA has helped over 10,000 dogs and over the years—particularly in Galway—we’ve noticed something truly heartwarming: more and more of our adopters refer to their dogs not just as rescues, but as MADRA Dogs.

This means the world to us. Becoming a MADRA Dog means being part of the MADRA family for life. We will always be here for our MADRA Dogs—and for our adopters. Every MADRA Dog now has its own Adoption Certificate confirming that it’s a Certified MADRA Dog. Each certificate includes an exclusive discount for MADRA Adopters to use in our shop in Moycullen or online.

To mark this special anniversary we’re gifting every Certified MADRA Dog a limited-edition MADRA Dog Tag. It’s designed to be worn on the dog’s collar, lead or harness, proudly showing the world that this dog is one of the most special of all rescue dogs.
