Padraig

All about me

  • Name: Padraig
  • Gender: Male
  • Approx. age: 8 years
  • Breed: Red Setter
  • Description: Padraig (also known as Charlie)–Irish Red Setter boy – 12 years old Who says blondes have more fun? Any self-respecting Irish Setter would strongly dispute that claim! Despite my age, I am true to the typical red setter energetic nature and still adore carefree running about! I would like to have a big garden of my own to dash around in. I would really enjoy living with another dog, one who likes to play and the challenge of trying to wear me out. We could cuddle up beside you on the couch when we are all tired out! I could regale you with countless tales from my life before and you can marvel at the wisdom of one so old! I am quite strong when being walked on a lead as I am always so excited by all the new sights and smells out on my walks but we can work on that I’m sure? I came from a family home so I’m house-trained and I know us dogs don’t belong in kennels. We all deserve adoring families. I’ve found it very bewildering to find myself in a place like this at my age. In the interests of honesty, I do have some health issues which I’m on medication for. I can be a bit grumpy at times as a result and I have nipped. I’m sure you have those off moments too so we’ll just accept that in each other. The endless joy we will share together will make us both feel so grateful to have found each other. For my retirement years I know I would be much happier and relaxed in an adult-only home. While I might be getting old, grey and worn around the edges; (hey, aren’t we all?!) please know that my capacity to love is still the same. I hope you can open your mind and heart up to a fun and wise old soul.
